Completing Go 'Cisive

You may have seen a previous post a clip of when I started working on a song for my album called "Go 'Cisive". Well since then, ive completed the song but not before recruiting the services of "Revolutionary Zuri" - the Sax player in the band.

Those ol skool New Jack Swing type songs always use to have a brass instrument going on somewhere - I felt like my song needed that authentic feel - to sound like a sample when its not.  Think I nailed it....here's the process.

As you may or may not know, I performed at Iluvlive a few weeks ago.  I wasnt able to use the band I normally perform with, HOWEVER, I couldnt complain about the alternative - Dynamiks band.  They are Donaeo's band and they have performed with a whole bag of huge UK artists.  I did manage to get in Revolutionary Zuri on the sax from the normal band - and obviously, the talented Shakka on backing vocals.

The show went well, I think...got a few more supporters....here's footage the opening song - more to follow soon.

Labrinths response to my response!

If you've been checking the blog lately, you would know that I sent a response to a video that UK Producer Labrinth put online - here. (If you havent seen it, please click the link or this wont make sense!)

To my suprise, labrinth as sent a personal response to my response!!! Here it is - hilarious!!

Quick Catchup : Terri Walker

So I performed at "Off The Radar" on 31st July put on by AskyourGirl. Itwas like a "Lifestyle/uk fashion" exhibition/sale - decent day still....  I wouldve put up the video but the sound isnt ideal so I thought Id leave it.

Anyway, I bumped into the well respected female vocalist Terri Walker outside as she was performing there later on that day...




Im going to hold her to that....

You have probably heard about the uberproducer "Labrinth" from the songs he produced and featured on with Tinie Tempah - "Passout" and "Frisky".  Not that many UK producers impress me like he has so as I do with all producers I like, I researched him on youtube only to stumble across my favourite type of video - a video of him in the studio which he put out in a transmission style... I figured if someone sends out a message, its only right to respond... Here's his video, followed by mine (please note, you NEED to watch both to get it AND its JUST jokes! )
