I first heard about him prolly about 3 years ago (shout out to Clay-are!) but never got the chance to actually see him perform, or even hear him, until this night. He's BAD. Stage presence, vocal ability, improv...the dude has got it ALL - I was actually BLOWN away...ima post him performing a couple songs soon but this video is him singing ...well..just click the "Read more" link below to watch the video....If the video is stopping and starting too much, move the mouse to the 720p (next to the volume) and change to 320p.
Basically, I went to a night the other day to support my boy Shakka who was performing at a night called "Groove Gumbo", hosted by Eric Roberson (Footage of shakkas performance will be on his blog sooner than later hopefully! ;-).
But yea, Eric Roberson is an American, soul, typa RnB, typa Neo soul typa dude who has been doing his thing on the live circuit for a while now, flying back and forth between here and america. Although not mainstream MAINSTREAM, the dude is very well known on the live music circuit in the uk, and even got a grammy nomination for one of his songs so yea, he's sorta a big deal. Same time, he's humble with it, and you can see, he loves his craft and maintaining its purity which is a beautiful thing. Dont worry, ima post his songs soon..!!
