Incisive : Notting Hill Carnival Performance.

I have lived in notting hill ALL my life so the Notting Hill Carnival is an integral part of me - I have to travel to get AWAY from it.   I have seen it from the days Tim westwood used to be under the tent for Radio 1 & brought down american artists such as Wu-Tang Clan, Biggie, Lil Kim, Busta Rhymes, Common (When he was known as Common Sense)...it has ALWAYS been my dream to perform at carnival.

Seeing as Tim Westwood is no longer there and the infamous Rampage sound werent on this year, I believe the main stand for most artists to perform at this year was Mastermind Sound.  I was lucky enough to be asked to perform "This Groove" alongside Shakka so jumped at the opportunity and I loved.every.second.of.it. - Footage Below

Incisive's Car Show : Incisive ft Nadine Charles

So another car show!!! To be honest though, this one was totally unplanned (JUST HOW I LIKE IT).  I was out with the lovely Nadine Charles for a catchup and happened to have the camera in the car from doing the previous car show. ALSO, I performed recently with Nadine assisting me with BV's at the Sunday show so I happened to have the instrumental still on my ipod. So camera, plus instrumental, and we were in my car - it was a no brainer!!

So this song is off the recent "Him & Her E.P" that I done. You can download it here

Eddie Kadi @ the 02 Opening Act Videos!!!

Comedian "Eddie Kadi" made history last night by being the first black comedian to perform at the O2 Arena (capacity 20,000!).  It was an amazing and inspirational event to see someone achieve so much - big shout out to Eddie Kadi.  I was fortunate enough to be in the first few rows so I thought Id film some of the uk acts who were given the opportunity to open the show - all acts I respect - Clement Marfo and the Frontline, Meleka, and Smiler enjoy the clips below:

I luv live : Nothing Compares

The second song from my performance at I luv live on 26th July - the beat sounds low because the engineer turned down the band on the mics.....still sounds alright i think.....enjoy....

Footage : In-ci-sive @ Iluvlive

As you may or may not know, I performed at Iluvlive a few weeks ago.  I wasnt able to use the band I normally perform with, HOWEVER, I couldnt complain about the alternative - Dynamiks band.  They are Donaeo's band and they have performed with a whole bag of huge UK artists.  I did manage to get in Revolutionary Zuri on the sax from the normal band - and obviously, the talented Shakka on backing vocals.

The show went well, I think...got a few more supporters....here's footage the opening song - more to follow soon.

A couple of weeks ago, Myself and some of the Myish team (Donaeo, Bucks, Reggie, and Dj Sai)went to ghana to for 6 days accompany Donaeo who performed at the prestigious Ghana Music Awards.   I took alot of footage and didnt want to leave any out after a hardcore edit so ive cut it into sections....here's Part 2 of the footage:

The Rehersal Show Part 1

As you know, I performed a 20 minute set at 93 feet east on bricklane last week.  Unfortunately (and very unlike me) I forgot my video camera!!!  Fortunately, the lovely and very talented Nadine Charles not only came out to support me that night, but she also managed to film some of the show so check that out on her blog - http://www.nadinemcharles.blogspot.com/ .

ALSO - I did happen to film (Well left the camera on) at the rehersal the night before the show...so you get to see a full dry run of the set....as this is a rehersal, there may be mistakes etc but its all toward making good, real music...you can see shakkas back through most of it who assists with BVs, Me (obviously), Nicolas blackman on the bass and David on drums - Duncan "Street Focus" James is out of the picture on the right on lead guitar, so is "Revolutionary" Zuri on Sax and the lovely Yasmin Baker on keys...enjoy part 1...

P.s If it takes long to load or is stuttering, change the 720P option on the bottom right of the video to 480

P.p.s IF YOU HAVENT DONE SO, PLEASE VOTE FOR ME IN THE POST BELOW!!

Incisive with full band @ Ahir Lorenzos (Footage)

(This is just a picture - click HERE for the videos then scroll down)

I performed on sunday 21st march at a spot in North Finchley at a night put on by a talented singer called Emele Michael . Im not gonna lie, the venue was slightly smaller than what im used to (not to sound like a snob but...its true!) but it had a nice vice/atmosphere and an intimate setting so I thought, what the hell - ima rock it like its wembley stadium - thats how you gotta treat all performances. It turned out, I REALLLY enjoyed this one...one of my favourites...

AKS @ The Cordless show

I stumbled on an artist (rapper) called AKS last year sometime..cant remember exactly how(im sure he can remind me)..somewhere online...we got talking on the twitter and it turned out he had heard a track I had done a while back called London N.E.W.S with sway, J2k, and Baby blue and I guess he had a respect for me as an artist..cool....

I got his mixtape, "A Miracle in the making"  not soon after (download it HERE - right click, save target as...) and was blown away by his lyricism, skill and content...this dude really had something 'cause trust me, im not really one to be blown away... and through his own proactiveness, he's one of the VERY few artists that made it on my upcoming album so watch out for that track.

Fast Forward to now, he managed to get the highest votes on a well put together online show called "The Cordless Show" and therefore, got to perform.  Im not gonna lie, I actually saw this show when it FIRST started, like episode 1 and 2 when duke performed (AMAZING) and really wanted to perform on it but...politics...lol... Regardless, its had names such as Master Shortie, FDM (Fundamental), Bluey Robinson to name a few, and now AKS...and trust me, he did us proud! Bus Stop is my personal favourite... Click to watch

Bluey Robinson Live @ The Roundhouse (Video)

I got invited (shoutout to Mr LL!) to a lastminute.com showcase at the roundhouse tonight -  last minute for me that is...not lastminute, someone randomly thought to organise a show like..TONIGHT...anyway..

Yea, it was at The Roundhouse in Camden and had performances by Mclean, Marvell, and Bluey Robinson. (link for the video is just below)

Bluey Robinson is a UK singer who Ive been following for about 18 months now.  I cant remember how exactly I stumbled on his stuff but I do remember being blown away - instantly.  He had (and still has) videos on youtube of him going into train stations or on trains and just bareface singing for everyone....not busking..just bareface performing lol - he's bad - see the second video to see what I mean.

ANYWAY - This is his performance on the night - he's blatently got that star quality on stage that stood out that night - I hope he does well...4 real...
p.s - check mine and Shakkas random cameo, before "I Know" (Watch and see what I mean!)

If the video is stopping and starting too much, move the mouse to the 720p (next to the volume) and change to 320p.

..And here is him randomly singing in one of those videos I was talking about.  In this one, he's randomly singing in Harrods :

Nothing Compares Car Show REPOST

Ive got alot of feedback from people that have heard my mixtape (download it HERE! )and a popular song with everyone is "Nothing Compares".  The problem is, the mixtape version is just like a 1 minute snippet because the full version is going to be on my album - people always cuss the fact it cuts out so early - so here's a full version to keep you happy until you can get the album!!!

P.S - Regular followers - I KNOW ive posted this before but alot of new readers think my blog is just the one page and dont go BACK to the other pages and posts (Theres a tip - click "OLDER POSTS" at the bottom of the screen to find more!!
Thanks

Ras Kwames LAST Homegrown Session : Giggs Performance

Ras Kwame had a special final show on sunday - he'still in the game (Off to big Radio 1 - dont worry bout him!) but handing over the homegrown torch to Dj Target.  It was broadcasted live from the Maida Vale BBC studios with performances from some UK artists to a small, intimate, sorta industry crowd.

I luv live : Jessie J

've slowed down ALOT on the recording and performance side of things, trying to get this album complete. In this time, I've been going to alot of shows to try and stay "In the Loop". I went to I luv Live a couple nights ago because I heard that Jessie J was performing....

For those of you who dont know who she is, she's a UK Singer, Songwriter..and is quite a big deal. I stumbled on her after she posted a video on youtube singing a song in her bedroom called "Big White Room". Her voice and talent is SO undeniable, its one of those videos that blew up and got sent round Facebook (Not so much twitter at the time). Eventually, someone close to me (Shout out Ms G!) forwarded it to my inbox and asked me to just listen...blown away.

Since then, she has been signed to universal and has been songwriting in america for the likes of Chris Brown and on a U.S Number 2 for Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana) in the song "In the USA" - A song she sings in the performance is one of her songs...shes bad bad bad.

She's one of those artists you see on stage, with talent and character...but humble with it...you see her and know you gotta go home and get BACK ON YOUR GRIZZY!

Just watch...
